Meet the Experts

An Educational Option for Groups

"Meet the Experts" offers general exposure to gifted education for groups of educators, such as a school faculty or a group of high school guidance counselors, who may have limited background in gifted education. A panel of Academy members -- all of whom are current or former district or school gifted education practitioners -- will come to a school or district site where group participants can pose questions to the panel on general or specific topics regarding the nature, needs, and education of gifted students.

Rather than being a formalized presentation, "Meet the Experts" allows participants to have a dialogue with expert practitioners. From this general exposure, the group or individuals within the group may wish to explore topics in gifted education in more depth in other mentoring formats.

Audience: Levels 1-2

(includes administrators, novice teachers, general classroom teachers, and other education professionals wanting to know more about gifted education)
